The RSABI Great Glen Challenge is now taking team entries for this summers’ event. This will be the sixth time the challenge has run and is once again sponsored by Ledingham Chalmers Solicitors. The last two challenges saw over £112,000 raised for those in need throughout rural Scotland.
Teams of 4 people from rural businesses, industry organisations and groups of agriculturally minded people, take on the annual multi-sports competition on Friday 25th August, all looking to follow the fantastic fundraising success of the event in previous years. RSABI are delighted to be supported once again by Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, CKD Galbraith and The Scottish Farmer, all of whom annually field a team.
RSABI aim to sign up 25 teams to compete in the unique and exciting one-day challenge. In 2016 there were nearly 100 competitors from Scotland who biked, kayaked, walked and ran sections totalling 46km along the Great Glen Way from Fort Augustus to the finish and prize-giving at Banavie by Fort William.
The RSABI challenge co-ordinator Paul Tinson said “We’re excited to be launching our sixth Great Glen Challenge. It’s a real testament to the support from the sector that so many fantastic businesses and organisations have competed in past years. This August looks set to be just as popular as ever, and with enquiries from new teams already received, we could be looking at a new winner for 2017 to follow Watson Seeds last year!”
