Country Style Blogger of the Year Announced

The first ever ‘Country Style Blogger of the Year’ award winner has been announced.

Taking the crown is hugely talented Norfolk based photographer, blogger and curator of ‘Sophie in the Sticks’, who, alongside the prestigious title, wins a cash prize, trophy and 12 months promotion and support from leading blogger portal, Haynet.

Sophie said “I’m absolutely thrilled to win, it came as a wonderful surprise. My love for the countryside drives me to capture and share the best of the beautiful part of the world I’m lucky enough to live in. The ongoing support from readers has been truly touching and I’d like to say a huge thank you to all involved.”

The judges – Sam Hobden, founder of Haynet and Ashley Rossiter, MD of MirrorMePR were both very impressed with the standard and quality of writing across all the finalist’s blogs.

Sam commented;

“With the success of the Equestrian Blogger of the Year Award which has increased in popularity over the last five years, it was time to separate the category and recognise bloggers writing about their country style interests. This is becoming a hugely popular subject matter, so it felt right to acknowledge this with a brand new award and endorse quality blog content within the countryside.”

Two other awards were awarded yesterday (24 May). The winner of ‘Rising Star’ went to It’s a Country Life and the ‘Recognition of Talent’ was awarded to Charlotte in England.
