Charity ball raises £11K for RSABI

A charity ball held in Wigtownshire raised over £11,000 for rural charity RSABI.

The sold-out event was hosted at the Green Valley Golf Academy in Castle Kennedy last month.

Before dinner, 155 guests were welcomed by music from the Wee Duff Orchestra. Speaker Robbie Duncan from RSABI business supporter Quest Farm Services provided the evening entertainment, whilst Brian Vance from Craig Wilson Ltd, a corporate supporter of RSABI, handled the auction.

Delighted

RSABI South West Development Officer Jill Sloan commented;

“Obviously we are delighted with the amount of money the RSABI charity ball managed to raise, and we hope everyone who attended had a wonderful evening. It was fantastic to see how well supported the event was by the rural community in Wigtownshire, and we’re grateful to everyone who supported in whatever way they could.”

She added:

“Hopefully we’ll be able to hold more events like the charity ball across Dumfries and Galloway in the future, and we know that the money raised by events such as the Wigtownshire fundraiser will go to help many people in need across the agricultural community.”
